My Hued Verse
They say a picture says a thousand words, but I say a thousand words create a picture. One that is personal and more beautiful than can be comprehended by our mortal eyes.

ZEE Surgery
Visual Verse: An ASL ABC Story
This is a new type of poetry I am playing with recently. Poetry in ASL. This piece is more accurately classified as an ABC story, though I personally believe that ABC stories and poetry can overlap. Though not all may understand the exact signs in this poem, I believe that this type of poetry can convey deep meaning to all no matter their English literacy or ASL ability. This poem tells the story of my time at the doctors on the day of my hysterectomy. If you like to cry or just like the idea of surgery then I believe this poem is a good fit for you.

Christ's Arms
A Journey with Jesus
I have been writing this poem for years. I continue to add to it as I read from the scriptures. This poem goes through Christ's life explaining how He reached out to all He ministered unto. He is still holding His arms out for us today and I hope this poem helps everyone see a little clearer how He does that!

Grandma: the Patient in 132
A Rhythmic Remembrance

On April 22nd, 2019, my grandma passed from this world. I was blessed to have her in my life for nearly 20 years and moving forward without this charitable, diligent woman is difficult, but her memory is sustaining. This poem is a choppy, emotional walk through some of the most important moments I had with her. In the last couple weeks of her life, it seemed every conversation happened around, or about the patient in room 132, however to me she was much more than that and I pray that this poem honors her in the way she deserves.

A Cloudy Day Love Poem
Walk Between the Raindrops
My father had a liver transplant a couple years ago. It was a devastating time for my family, as we watched the man who provided and protected us slowly die. However, it was most difficult for my mother who was now put into position as a caretaker and had to provide hope for her children while preparing for the potential worst. Thankfully, my father's transplant was a success! This poem is a love poem written from the perspective of my father to the woman who is his everything... his eternal love.
